Eastern Province Phase 2 Water Transmission System

Transport of drinking water from the Marafiq desalination plant in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, via the newly constructed Marafiq pumping station, to supply the cities of Safwa, Ras Tanurah, Qatif, Sayhat, and Dammam.

Construction of a new transfer station with pumping station to supply the existing city network of Al Jubail.

Expansion of the existing Eastern Province Water Transmission System to supply the cities of Al Khobar and Dhahran and for emergency supply to the cities of Dammam, Sayhat, Qatif, and Safwa.

 

Services:

  • Preparation of documentation for line fill and start-up
  • Preparation of acceptance specifications for the “Tests on Completion” (“Performance & Reliability Tests”)
  • Preparation of operating manuals and operating instructions for the individual pipeline systems
  • Commissioning, start-up, and Tests on Completion

  • A total of 3 independent pipeline systems
  • Total length over 120 km
  • Diameter: from 24″ to 68″
  • Capacities: up to 500,000 m3/d – via the new system
    up to 95,000 m3/d – to Al Jubail
    up to 250,000 m3/d – via the existing system
  • 1 new main pumping station
  • 1 new transfer station with pumping station
  • 9 new transfer stations (some with existing pumping station)
